Reminder- Honor's Day Program will be Monday, May 19, at 9:00.  The Third Grade will be recognized. 

End of Year Party

I have talked with Jodie Singleton this morning and the party is still on at her house.  This messy weather should pass soon.  In the mean time, she has some indoor activities for us.

End of Year party

Some of the students are going straight to Tanna's  house on Thursday.  The other students are meeting at school for a ride.  Please let us know if you will be driving.  We will leave at 8:00 and be back around 2:30.

Field day

Field day will be this Wednesday, May 14 from 8:00 - 11:00.  You will need to bring extra clothes and a towel.

Thanks to all the parents that went on the zoo trip last week. 

We will read our last story this week.  We will have our last Vocabulary Test and  Spelling Test this week.  I will send the word list home on Monday.

Powder Puff will be Tuesday.
The Swimming Party will be Thursday.  I will send more information today.
Honors Day Program is Monday, May 19.
The last day of school is May 23.

Powder Puff Game

The Powder Puff Game will be Tuesday, May 13, at 1:00.  The cost is $2.00.

Lunch Tuesday

Pre order a box lunch for Tuesday, May 13, 2014.  The cost is $5.22 for ham and cheese or turkey and cheese. the box lunch will also include fruit, cookie, and water.  count needs to be in by Monday.

Reminder- Wear your field trip t- shirt tomorrow and comfortable shoes.  You may want to bring a some extra money for a bottle of water.  It will be hot.  We are leaving around 8:00 and will be back before school is out.

We begin the recycling competition tomorrow, April 22, through April 29.  Third Grade will be collecting aluminum cans.  Please save these and send to school in a plastic bag.  We will put these in green bags at school.

The school Talent Show will be May 15, at 6:30p.m.  it is open to all grades and forms may be picked up at the office.

We only have a short time left to reach our AR Goal for the final grading period.  Please encourage your child to read their AR book.

Correction

The Reading Test will be on Tuesday not Monday.

Drivers for Easter Egg Hunt

Please return form for Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow.  Mrs. Sheree Senn will be by tomorrow afternoon to pick up eggs, candy, food, and any other items for Thursday.  Please send these to school tomorrow.

We NEED DRIVERS for Thursday for the Easter Egg Hunt.  As of Tuesday afternoon, we have NO drivers.  Please let us know if you can drive.

Also, we will not have a Reading Test on Thursday.  We will do it on Monday.
We will have a Spelling and Vocabulary test on Thursday morning.

I will try to have folders ready Thursday after we return to school.  If not, I will send folders on Monday.

Remember - Movie Under the Stars Thursday night .  Gates open at 6:45  Cost $1.00

Easter Egg Hunt

I am sending information about the Easter Egg Hunt today.  Please return these tomorrow.  We need to know about drivers, food and drinks, and helpers to hide eggs.  Mrs. Sheree Senn needs to pick everything up on Wednesday afternoon.   Thanks for all your help. 

PLAS Beauty Pageant

The PLAS Beauty Pageant for K4 - 8th Grade will be Monday, April 28.  I am sending the entry form by the girls today.

We still have some folders out.  Please sign and return these.  We also need the forms for the zoo trip by Friday.

First, I want to thank all the parents that went with our class on the field trip last week.  We had a great time and I hope you did also.

We will dismiss early April 11, at 12:00 (start loading cars at 11:45).

Important Dates and Information

Zaxby's Fundraiser Night is Tuesday, April 8, from 5pm to 9pm.  10% of sales will be donated to the school.

Zoo Field Trip forms are due by April 11.

Friday, April 11, we will dismiss at 12 noon.  We will start loading cars at 11:45.

Movie Under the Stars will be Thursday, April 17.  Gates will open at 6:45pm and the movie will begin at 7:30.  Tickets are $1.00 and available through the office.

You may already know that Mrs. Scott's mother died last week.  The students and I sent a card yesterday.

Sorry I could not get this information out yesterday.  The computer was down.     We will have a Spelling Test Friday.  The words are easy.  spill, hill, gull, smell, mess, odd, add, cliff, mitt, fuzz, all, still, fall, till, guess, football, baseball, usually, necessary, basketball.  They got this list yesterday.

Vocabulary words are urgent, pride, unfamiliar, mourning, exhausted, surge.  We are reading chapters 9- 12.

I am sending home information about another field trip to the zoo.

Remember be at school Thursday by 7:00 for the trip to Desoto Caverns.
